game launch!
if you are reading this - why (but please stay)
well i finished the game. it took me ~1 month to finish. this is the second game i created by myself and it's definitely better than the first game. at least i think so.
the game was inspired by two things (which are probably obvious): vampire survivors and working out.
first, vampire survivors is such a fun game. so fun. how do they make these games so fun. it makes no sense. i also played a whole bunch of other roguelikes/roguelites (i still don't know the difference) on itch and on the iphone app store. because those are where i can get free games. i hope this game is a fraction as good as those games.
second, i've been working out more. actually, i've been working out since january but i just started going to the gym like this month (about when i started the game) and it is a game changer. so much better than working out at home. though i am yet to make significant progress. but this summer i am going to become ripped and buff (surely). just need more cardio.
another question i wanted to answer: why is the main character a rat/rodent looking thing?
answer: i don't know. i didn't feel like designing a human with a hairstyle and a shirt and a lot of details. since i'm not that good at drawing. so i thought about what would be super funny. and i came up with that thing. i actually don't have a name for him yet. which is bad for branding but we'll get there eventually.
overall, i had fun making this game. although i was very lazy with some stuff. and rushed some stuff. and didn't fix all the bugs. but i felt like i was doing something productive for once. i don't know what i'll do next. maybe update this game. maybe make a new game. maybe step away from game dev for a bit. maybe finish persona 5 (a task i have left hanging for months).
